Even though the first day of fall was yesterday, it still feels like we are in the thick of summer here in the South, which puts a lot of us in a “fall style conundrum!”
October temps aren’t as low as I would like, but it is still fun to start mentally getting ready for one of my favorite times of year…FALL! Despite us being in that in between stage of not quite fall but not quite summer, there are 3 specific items that are my go-to’s for this transition period.
So I decided to put together a quick blog post sharing 3 stylish things that are easy pieces to add to your wardrobe and beauty routine. All 3 of these will definitely make it more fun to get dressed when those leaves actually start turning pretty colors!
Hat // Red orange lip : Lady Danger // Ruched melon wrap dress (also available in long sleeved)
// Similar chambray top // Dainty necklace
#1 THE FELT HAT
The first fall style must have if you don’t already have one is a felt hat. Hats are a great staple that are perfect for when you don’t feel like doing your hair. (which is me most days) Just throw one on, then POOF! You immediately look stylish! It’s also a great distraction if you also aren’t feeling like doing too much makeup. Swipe on a bold lip and mascara and go! It’s just one of those accessories that looks so chic when added to an outfit and immediately dresses it up.

#2 A WARM BRONZER
Next in line for your fall look is a good bronzer. It’s a well known fact we all lose some of our summer skin color come the cooler months. So we need to put a bit of that healthy bronze look back into our complexion to beat the winter blues/paleness. There are so many good ones out there and the biggest rule is to make sure it doesn’t go too orange! How to apply it : get a fluffy bronzer brush and start applying around the perimeter of the face and into the hairline, then hit under the neck (because it’s shielded from the sun by your chin), and then lightly across the cheeks and nose for a realistic flush of color.
And if a powder bronzer isn’t your thing, try these tanning drops I swear by that you can simply add to your everyday moisturizer for a super realistic tan!

#3 THE LIGHTWEIGHT CARDIGAN
My final fall style must have is a great lightweight cardigan. Since it’s not cold enough for a heavy coat but the nights can tend to get chilly, a lightweight cardigan is the ultimate wardrobe fixer. They can be worn with pants, jeans, and even dresses! They’re soooo easy to pair with most any outfit. I transition my sleeveless dresses in an instant with one. And don’t forget to trade out the sandals for knee boots when it’s time. Y’all know I talk about this $12 sheer cardigan ALL the time on my Instagram and that’s because the company brings it back year after year because it’s just that good.
