Happy Monday ladies! I’m starting off this busy week (what week isn’t busy though??) with a post today sharing one of my summer staples, the chambray shirt. BUT, with an unexpected girly spin to it…the ONE SHOULDER CHAMBRAY SHIRT! (add a ruffle for extra girly-ness!)
As we all know, chambray is such a versatile fabric that can be worn almost anywhere and can be casual or dressed up with the right accessories! (Pretty much all of my clothes fall into this category – I don’t own anything super fancy!!) In short, the chambray shirt is a great everyday piece to have in your closet.
I have a couple of long sleeved ones (that I wear as a lightweight version of a denim jacket – here are some cool inexpensive options here), sleeveless button up chambray tops, and now I incorporated this fabric into the popular off the shoulder trend seen all summer long!
The one shoulder version is super cute when you add a printed short to it and espadrille wedges like these Marc Fisher knockoffs by Steve Madden (they’re surprisingly comfy, give your calves a great shape, and come in multiple colors including a metallic shade!)
Since one shoulder tops show off your face a good bit, why not dress it up!
I paired this one with three summer staple accessories every gal should own…
- a BRIGHT RED LIP, Revlon Colorstay Overtime lipcolor in “Neverending Red” and another fave red is MAC “Lady Danger,”
- TORTOISESHELL SUNNIES like these Karen Walker ones (cheaper version here),
- and Bauble Bar TASSEL EARRINGS (come in a gazillion color options!)
I’m forever going to be a fan of adding colorful accessories to my neutral chambray clothing to brighten things up. Y’all are probably tired of seeing my yellow tassel earrings from Bauble Bar on repeat, but I just can’t get enough of them and they brighten my entire face!
The color yellow just adds an effortless summer vibe and I loved picking up the yellow in my printed shorts. I linked some similar printed shorts below.
The next thing I want to wear with my one shoulder chambray is a neck scarf like the visual inspo below!! So chic and Parisian feeling right??
